A fine pair of Chelsea leaf dishes decorated with fruit, c.1755 L:7 1/2

A FINE PAIR OF CHELSEA PORCELAIN LEAF DISHES,

Red Anchor Period,

Circa 1755.


     The dishes are molded in the form of  three overlapping leaves

with the handle in the form of a twig.  The leaves are brightly

decorated with the veins coloured puce and the center painted with

large fruit.  One has an appple, a raspberry, cherries, and a melon.
