A pair of Paris porcelain hard paste plates decorated with scattered sprigs of flowers, c.1800


A PAIR OF PARIS PORCELAIN PLATES,

Duc D'Angouleme factory of Dihl & Guérhard,

Circa 1781-1785.


The plates, with a gold band on the shaped rim and around the central well, are decorated with finely painted scattered flowers.


Mark: stencilled in red is the monogram GA inserted in an oval cartouche and surmounted by the crown of a Prince of the Blood.


Diameter: 9 3/4 inches (24.7cm)
