A RARE HORSE AND FOAL FLAT-BACK GROUP,
Circa 1815.
The figures stand side by side on a moulded green grass supported
on a pink gilt-lined stepped base.
Length: 5 7/8 inches.
Condition: Excellent.
This group was most likely made at the Dillwyn & Co. works in
Swansea where for a period of time an opaque china such as these
figures were made. Further, a similar model of pointers, on an
identical base, was sold at Philips, Cardiff, in 1988 and another
example can be seen at the County Museum, Truro.
