The woolwork depicts a telescoopic view of a three-masted ship within a garter surmounted by a crown. To the left of the garter are three flags, the Union Jack, the French flag and the red ensign. To the right are the white ensign, the Dutch flaf and the blue ensign with a white rose below against a brown background with a red theatrical curtain surrounding the whole.
