An English Pottery Blue Shell Edge Plate in High-temperature Underglaze Colours,

Circa 1800.


The charming naive plate is decorated in high temperature colours with a naive design of a house with a picket fence to either side and a big blue sky behind.  In the foreground is a wooden sty.  The central well has an ochre and blue coloured alternating stylized flower head design.  The rim with a blue shell edge.


Dimensions: 10 inch diameter.
