Chinese Export Armorial Tankard,
Arms of Watson with Darell in pretence,
The shaped Chinese Export armorial tankard is painted in famille rose with the ornate armorial coat of arms and armorial crest of Admiral John Watson and his wife, a Darell heiress. This service was presented to Admiral Watson by the East India Company in 1770.
