First Period Worcester Porcelain Mazarine Blue-ground Giles-decorated Botanical Sauce Tureen Cover & Stand,

Circa 1768-72.


The oval tureen, cover & stand with mazarine blue-ground highlighted with panels of flowers and the handles in the form of flowering twigs and typical cisele gilding of flowers.  The decoration & gilding of the tureen is by James Giles.

Dimensions: 5 inches high x 8 1/4 inches x 6 1/4 inches


Condition: Repaired hairline (1/2 inch) to one end of underdish.
