British Sailor's Woolie Woolwork of a Royal Navy Ship,

Circa 1865-75.

The wool depicts a starboard view of a Royal Navy Frigate flying a White Ensign and a long white banner sailing in a channel between a large fort flying a Union Jack on the left and an another fort raised on a hillside.  The sky still retains its light blue colour-a colour that is often fugitive and turned to ivory.  The sea is calm with a dark blue colour with lighted blue waves.
