Newcastle Prattware Pottery Model of a Horse,

Probably St. Anthony Pottery, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Circa 1820-30.


The horse with a unusually long  tail stands on a flat green strongly shaped rectangular base.  It has a mottled gray, brown and cream body with a blue and yellow saddle cloth and an orange strap around its middle.


On the base is written (partially obscured) H. Hanland 1823... From his Grandma K,,


Dimensions:  6 1/4 inches high x 6 3/4 inches long x 2 inches deep.


Some horses of this form are marked with an impressed St Anthony mark.
