Chamberlain Worcester Yellow-ground Porcelain Armorial Jug & Cover,

Circa 1800-1810.


The large Chamberlain's Worcester porcelain covered mask jug has yellow-ground panels to the cover and body with fine gilt bands with an armorial coat of arms to the front below the white mask spout with a beautifully designed handle to the rear.  There is fluting on the cover, handle and lower section if the jug.  


The cover is designed with an extremely well modelled large finial in the form of a Bacchus child holding a bunch of grapes in his right hand and a cup in the other, with gilt highlights to the hair, cup, grapes and edge of the robe.


Dimensions:  Height of 9 3/4 inches x 6 3/4 inches wide x 6 inches deep.
