Chinese Export Porcelain Tankard with Lady in a Window,

Circa 1775-85


The Chinese Export porcelain tankard is most unusually painted with the head of a Chinese female in a small roundel with radiating green enamel rays emanating outwards within a circular trellis band with flowers and leaf decoration.  


The rim has a small pendant band in gold on an orange ground with a wavy purple and gold band below with four European flower bouquets.  The handle is a double-strap handle with leaf terminals in white.


Dimensions: 4 3/4 inches high x 3 3/4 inches x 5 3/4 inches across handle.
