The center of the sampler with a house and the A, B, C's above and then the following poem-


No Glory I covet, no Riches I want,

Ambition is nothing to me:

The one Thing I beg of kind Heav'n to grant,

Is a Mind independent and free.


This an ode from Thomas Fitzgerald (1513-1537).


Surrounding all is a flowering meandering stem and a lower central image of deer and butterflies.


All within a maple ogee frame.
